Life Goes On Even When Things Go Crazy!

The past week has been NUTS! Riley rolled off the bed on Tuesday basically because I am a bad mom. You'd think that I would know better than to leave him alone for one second to make a bottle but apparently not. I was in the kitchen making it when all of a sudden I hear a loud THUD and then a cry like I have never heard before. It was so stinkin' sad. I had to be calm though because babies can sense when their mom is upset and I didn't want to make the situation worse. I was sick to my stomach all day and even left work because I was so worried about him. He was and is perfectly fine but it still scared me!
My Dad has been super sick lately...well since the beginning of May. He finally went to the Dr. but they don't know what is wrong with him. He is having lots more blood work and an MRI done so if you could keep him in his prayers that would be awesome!
We had family pictures with Jeff's whole family the other day. The ones of Riley came out awesome. I look like I ate another person...apparently I put on more weight than I thought when I had Riley...here are the "good ones".

Babies are more resilient than you think which is good since accidents happen all the time. Nate dropped Bridget when she was only 2 months old, and then he set her in a chair just the other day and she dove head first off it. I just like to remind him that if she ends up riding the short bus to school someday, it will be his fault. But don't feel too guilty about Riley falling off the bed - it happens to most parents.

The first time Tasha fell off the bed I called Marc bawling because I was the worst mom ever. By kid 4....they fall off and you barely notice, lol. Just kidding. It does happen to just about everyone though. You're not a bad mom.

AND...whatever Carrie. You look super cute in those pics, too. Just like you normally do. Cute Riley too!

I know how you feel about feeling like a bad mom, I felt like a terrible mother the other day because Parker (my dog) wrapped his leash (which was a skinny rope) around Owen's neck until he couldn't breathe. He couldn't even cry. It was so scary. He still has a red mark under his chin. I felt like the worst mom in the world. But he's okay, so live and learn I guess.
Those pictures of Riley are darling. He has the most beautiful eyes! Cute baby.

Anna did the very same thing right before her 2nd birthday. She decided to climb up to the top bunk and lean over the edge. She wore a little brace for a while on her arm but thank goodness it did not break. I agree with everyone else. ALL children fall. We sure do wish we could keep an eye on them every single second of their lives but that will never happen.

We all have those bad mom stories....!! It's just nice when they don't happen in public, right? By the way, you look beautiful, and your baby is only how old? Give yourself some more time before you beat yourself up!!
