Dear Jeff...
Thank you for being an awesome parent who can deal with puke, and for cleaning up Riley's this morning as I dashed to the bathroom on my own account. UGH! It is horrible :( Thank you for caring about your little family and making sacrifices for us. With that you totally win brown points that you can dangle in front of my face the next time I get frusterated with you. Thank you for kissing my forehead and rubbing my back and saying cute prayers at night so I will get better.
I. LOVE. YOU.

Sooooooooooo Big!
Riley is starting to grow up!! He is not a little man anymore :( His unofficial weight at 14 months was 20.2 pounds! When I say unofficial it is because I didn't actually take him in to be weighed like I was supposed to, but rather Jeff's mom had an appointment on day when she was watching Riley and he was weighed then. Yesterday, Riley started saying "up" a lot. He totally knows what he is doing and loves to say it over and over. He also waves good-bye more consistently now. I asked him to wave good-bye to Sesame Street this morning when it is over and he did! So cute :) He is doing a ton better at sleeping. Last night we put him in his crib for bed and he rolled over and snuggled in the corner like normal. Well a few minutes later we heard this banging noise and couldn't tell where it was coming from. I cracked the door to his room and there he was laying sideways in his crib with his feet on the headboard kicking it. It was so funny! It was almost like "Hey I'm not tired enough yet to go to sleep so I am going to play around a little bit until I am!" He slept until 6:30 this morning...thank goodness! He loves to eat Lucky Charms for breakfast and I give them to him so he will gain weight. He will eat a full size bowl! He is getting funnier every day and I love nothing more in this life then being home with him. I started a new business as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and so far I am LOVING it! My goal is that I can eventually do this and leave the salon so I can be home every day and only work at night when Jeff comes home! I need to do 30 faces in 30 days so if you want to let me borrow your face that would be awesome...just let me know :)

New Plan Folks!
Hello Readers!
I decided that my last post was a bit dramatic and depressing. I apologize. I have decided to be more uplifting with my posts because who the heck wants to read something depressing. We want good stories like shower curtain hooks and feet, right? So anyway, I have decided that I need to be excited about all the jobs I applied for on Wednesday, all 10 of them, and that I am grateful there are opportunities out there! Anyway, I have something exciting to tell you. Riley is not only sleeping through the night again, he is NAPPING, in his crib now too. You see we have been on again off again with the whole sleeping through the night thing. It is rather annoying! I mean we'll go weeks with him sleeping and then one night he just wakes up and cries and won't go back to sleep unless he is in bed with us...not cool. Well, the other night (Tuesday) I decided we should try and put a fan in his room to see if it would help. HOLY COW! It was a freakin' miracle. He has not only slept through the night but that next day (Wednesday) I was home with him and said hey lets just try napping in the crib, and what do you know....it worked! I am JUMPING for joy here people!!! Both naps in his crib, so far we are 3/3 including today. It is so exciting for this to happen because he normally sleeps on our bed for nap time and I always go check on him to make sure he doesn't roll off. Now who the freak cares if he rolls around in his crib?!! I don't! He can't fall out!! Nap time is way more enjoyable for me and him now. THANK GOODNESS!!!

Welcome To My Life...
Here I am sitting on the computer while Riley sleeps applying for 50 million jobs...all of which I will probably be rejected from. I have applied for 15 jobs at the hospital and haven't had a single interview...I applied at the jail and they told me I don't have enough experience, I guess my Bachelor's degree in CJ doesn't count nor does the year of working in Fraud Detection. Jeff and I need new health insurance, and the only way we are going to get it is if I get a new job...I know the economy is crappy right now but come on people! I have a degree, I have an awesome past employment history, I am a hard worker, etc etc but we can't seem to catch a break. I guess it doesn't help that our house is on the market and we have had 19 showings to no-avail...I'm at the point wish people would stop wandering through my house, stop wasting my time please. Maybe if I didn't have so much to stress about I could leave some positive energy for the things in life that really matter...

1 Year Check-Up!
I brought Riley to the Dr. today for his one year visit...I failed to bring him in at 10 months like I was supposed to because it seemed like he was gaining weight...oops...wrong decision! Yet again my child is small! The dr. says he looks good so he isn't too worried...yet. We have to bring him back at 14 months to have him weighed...but today's results are as follows:
Head 46 inches
Height 29 1/2 inches (50th %)
Weight 18 lbs. 2 oz. *sigh* (0 %)
Height 29 1/2 inches (50th %)
Weight 18 lbs. 2 oz. *sigh* (0 %)
The dr. says just keep feeding him people food and move on to just milk and no formula. We'll see how things pan out. Oh well...at least he isn't fat right? :)
You've Had A Birthday Shout Hurray!
We want to sing to you today! One year older and wiser too...Haaaapy Birthday TO YOU! Happy 1st Birthday Riley! Let's be honest, your Dad and I are pretty proud of ourselves for not killing you in the first year. I mean we had no idea what we were doing (see circumcision post from about a year ago) and there were times we wanted to give you back because it was so stressful...but we love you more than anything in this world and would NEVER give you back! (And I don't think Dr's take the babies they deliver back after they have been delivered) Anyhoo, you're a champ and keep us laughing and smiling each day. You're our little buggaboo, Riley Bear, Little Man, Little Big Tooth, etc etc, the list goes on. Let's highlight a few of your milestones:

March 20, 2008 @ 4:48 PM...after only 6 hours of labor... You were born! How exciting?!
